Dimplex IgniteXL Bold is an extension of the extremely popular IgniteXL series of linear electric fireplaces. IgniteXL was the model that started the move toward linear fireplaces that are designed to slide into 2×6 framing, with an overall height of 16 – 17 inches. The natural flame effect, enhanced with a mirrored back panel, has made this one of our best-selling linear fireplaces. Since the introduction of IgniteXL almost a decade ago, all major manufacturers of electric fireplaces have created their own models that fit this profile, each with their own proprietary take on natural flames.

IgniteXL Bold is a deeper, taller, BOLDER version of IgniteXL. IgniteXL Bold is a built-in fireplace that offers 16.25 inches of viewing height, and requires 11.625” of framing depth. It is put into position after the wall opening is framed, but before the wall coverings are put on. It will not be removable after it is installed. The original IgniteXL is a slide-in fireplace, which is inserted into position after the wall opening has been framed and finished.

• Napoleon Trivista Primis – This model comes in fewer size options than the others, with a framing depth of just 9.25 inches.
